  1. Another NASCAR blunder…..I’m probably not a fan of lower horsepower and the new aero package, but if you’re going to a new package it should be from the first race to the last. This is just another of those crazy decisions NASCAR makes that causes most of us old longtime race fans pull out hair out.
One reason longtime fans have lost interest in NASCAR (not all stock car racing though) is because NASCAR has ruled the series to death and tried too much to make the cars equal both body and horsepower wise…leading to cars that don’t look at all like ‘stock cars’ and taking away a lot of creativity from the teams.

When you’re told what gears, shocks, springs etc. that you are to use, then they’ve just gone too far. When and if NASCAR ever goes to a single ‘GM’spec engine then I’m done with nascar….it’s in my opinion already ruined the truck series and will run off more hard core race fans.

  2. I have doubts that teams really put much into their speedway cars anyway, considering the likelihood of having it all go up in smoke as a result of one of the many random wrecks at Daytona and Talladega.
