Joey Logano is on a roll in the Nationwide Series, and as that series rolls into Kentucky Speedway that can be bad news for the rest of the teams.

Logano’s worst finish came last year when he nabbed a top-10 finish. The other three times that Logano visited Kentcuky Speedway in the Nationwide Series, he won the race and sat on the pole.

It was the Dodge of Brad Keselowski that was finally able to break Logano’s very dominant streak at Kentucky.

For the first time since he entered a race at Kentucky, last year was the first race that Logano didn’t lead a lap in or sit on the pole. He started fourth and was never able to get to the top of the leader boards. He has been fast at the mile and a half’s this year, winning at the down force tracks of Auto Club and Michigan.

Logano has also scored wins at Darlington, Dover and Talladega. The last two months, Logano has been on fire in the Nationwide Series. He started May off by winning Talladega and Darlington, he then at on the pole at Charlotte.

June started off much the same with a win at Dover and he followed that up by with a win at Michigan, before taking a week off while he focused on the Cup Series for the Sonoma race.

Kentucky may be where Logano has dominated in the past, but last year proved that he isn’t invincible at the track, although he has seemed to be close to invincible the last two months.

However, Logano won’t be in the race Friday night. The Joe Gibbs Cars of Brian Scott and Denny Hamlin could step up and take Logano’s spot of having a usually dominant car. But other drivers/cars might be able to capture the win.

First is Brad Keselowski. Keselowski won the event there last year and did so by dominating the second half of the race.

Keselowski is the only driver to win a race that has featured Logano in the Nationwide Series since Richmond. Keselowski beat logano at another one and a half mile track when he won Charlotte in May.

Another driver to watch would be the current points champion Elliott Sadler. Sadler was the pole winner here a year ago and finished with a strong top-five run.

Since taking the points lead at Charlotte a few weeks ago, Sadler has been knocking on the door, but hasn’t quite found a way to get to victory lane. That could change at Kentcuky.

Another driver to watch would be, the Daytona race winner, James Buescher.

The No. 30 Turner Motorsports car is coming off a win at Road America and a second place run the week before at Michigan. Buescher has been putting strong runs together in the Nationwide series lately. He didn’t drive the No. 30 car to the victory last week, but he is very familiar with Kentucky Speedway.

He won the Camping World Truck Series race there on Thursday. With the Turner cars being strong Buescher could make a strong run at Kentucky.
