Chase Elliott wins Snowflake 100 for third time

For the third time in his young career, Chase Elliott won the Snowflake 100 down at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. The race serves as part of the build-up to Sunday’s big Snowball Derby. Elliott will be starting on pole later this afternoon.

Elliott led the first six laps of the Snowflake before dropping back to sixth. He then worked his way back to the front in the final 20 laps, passing John Hunter Nemechek for the lead with six laps to go before going on to win the race.

Nemechek finished second followed by Justin South, Hunter Robbins and Dwayne Buggay.

Mike Garvey finished sixth followed by Anderson Brown, Augie Gill, Steven Davis and Korey Ruble.
