The last time the OSCAAR Pro Midgets were on track, the fans were cheering in amazement and shock by the action which occurred. With even more drivers set to make their 2016 debuts, the excitement is only going to continue to grow this weekend at Flamboro Speedway.
Inaugural Pro Midget feature winner Ted Greenwood enters this weekend confident following a pair of top-two finishes starting the season. It’s now a question whether he can add a win at Flamboro to go with his Peterborough victory.
Coming off the win last month, Shawn Paul hopes to make it two wins in a row at Flamboro Speedway.
Willy Northcott has been fast both races, posting a pair of third place finishes. Continuing to get faster, he will look to score the win this weekend.
Wally Wilson will make his second career start, having worked out the issues which plagued him at Peterborough Speedway in May.
Glen Blaker has been hard at work putting his car together and was out earlier this week at Flamboro Speedway laying down some test laps. Flat footing around the Hamilton, Ontario based oval, confidence seems to be following him into the weekend.
Fresh off his first career OSCAAR Midget feature victory at Sauble Speedway, James Stanley will debut his Pro Midget this weekend at Flamboro. He’s ran well at Flamboro in a midget previously, posting a runner-up finish in May.
JT Ackworth and Cassidy March will both be making their OSCAAR debuts this weekend with their Pro Midgets. March has previous racing experience as part of the Canadian Vintage Modifieds.
Jordan Hanna will also make his debut this weekend as he makes the transition for asphalt from dirt.
“It looks like a great new class that I would like to be a part of,” he commented pre-season. “I enjoy speed and skilled drivers and I think we will put on a good show.”
Along with the OSCAAR Pro Midgets at Flamboro Speedway this weekend will be the Outlaw Super Lates, OSCAAR Modifieds and OSCAAR Midgets.
