Two – time Richmond Sprint Cup race winner Denny Hamlin won the pole on Friday Evening for tomorrow night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
Hamlin captured the pole with a speed of 22.069 seconds (122.344 MPH). Hamlin was .010 seconds ahead of Kyle Larson, who will start second.
Matt Kenseth will roll off third followed by: Jamie McMurray and Kurt Busch rounded out the top five.
Martin Truex Jr., Kasey Kahne, Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top ten on the starting grid.
Notables include: Jeff Gordon 11th, Joey Logano 12th, Carl Edwards 13th, Tony Stewart 14th, Ryan Newman 15th, Brad Keselowski 17th, Kevin Harvick 19th, Ryan Blaney 20th, and Chase Elliott 34th.
